DCE ends two day tour of parts of Asutifi North District
A two- day tour organized by the Asutifi North District for the District Chief Executive(DCE) to visit the people of Gambia Zone had come to an end.
The visit is to let the DCE officially introduce himself to the Chiefs and the people in that zone of the District and also to allow residents to forward their challenges to the assembly via the DCE.
The areas visited by the DCE and his team which includes the Assistant Director,Presiding Member,Staff of the assembly and the media are Gambia 1 & 2, Nsuta, Kwame mensah, Yawbasoa,Agravi, Biaso, Kojo addae and Alhajikrom. The tour began on Tuesday and ended on Wednesday (13th/14th March respectively).
Honourable Anthony Mensah (DCE) in meeting the Chiefs and people said it was time for all to put aside political differences and work as a team to make development grow in the District. “Politics have ended so we all must leave it and work as a team” said the DCE.
He touched on how important it is was all to vote yes for the Ahafo region creation as there would be massive development and benefits it became a reality.”Dont introduce politics into this because its not about NPP or NDC” DCE stated.
Honourable Mensah urged them to depend on him in the event of any issues as he was her to assist them and to bring development to their respective villages.
According to the Chiefs and people of the mentioned communities, good roads, hygienic water, electricity, good healthcare, facilities for learning, employment and cocoa pollination are the things they were needed to make their lives better.
The DCE assured them of providing for their request within the shortest possible time.
The Chiefs and Residents thanked the DCE and his team for the visit since it is first time such initiative was observed.They pledged to support him to make the district a better place to live.
