Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is expecting his squad to stand up against Japan in Tuesday’s friendly despite missing several key players.
The Black Stars are without some high-profile players like Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah, Michael Essien, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Andre Ayew. Ghana’s last meeting against Japan four years ago ended in a 4-3 defeat.
Appiah believes his depleted side can show enough fist for the exhibition match.
Ghana have qualified to the final round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers and Appiah is confident that the Black Stars can secure a third appearance and do much better than their previous participation.
