Ghana Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan is expected in China this week to finalize a deal with Chinese soccer side Shanghai SIPG.
Gyan is expected to agree to terms and pen the deal on Wednesday, reports monitored here said.
The reports say the transfer will give Gyan weekly earnings of 250,000 U.S. dollars.
The reports indicated that the Xuhui-based club wants to strengthen its team, especially as city rivals have acquired former Chelsea forward Demba Ba and former Everton midfielder Tim Cahill.
Gyan has bagged 95 goals in 83 league matches in his four seasons for Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The SIPG club was founded on December 25, 2005, as Shanghai Dongya F.C. by former Chinese international football coach Xu Genbao.
It is owned by the Chinese group Shanghai International Port Group and has the 56,842 seating capacity Shanghai stadium as its home venue.
The club is currently coached by former England trainer Sven-Goran Eriksson. Enditem.
