Hot Chase For ‘Schwarzenegger’
Intriguing radio and television presenter, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, aka Afia Schwarzenegger, has become a hot cake as about three radio stations are offering her mouth-watering ‘poaching’ fees and enticements, NEWS-ONE has gathered.
NEWS-ONE broke the story last Friday that Valentina had quit her job as mid-morning host atKasapa 102.3 Fm and that she was most likely to move to the newly established Accra Fm though her reasons for leaving Kasapa was not yet known.
Fresh updates on her move suggest that Valentina is under ‘poaching’ pressure from three radio stations to the extent that she has left the country to cool off in South Africa until the year ends, when she would officially announce which of the three stations she would move to.
Checks showed that apart from the Accra Fm option, Valentina may either be moving to Peace Fm to handle the afternoon drive talk or to Okay Fm to host the mid-morning show.
Kasapa belongs to the EIB Group and though it has not given any official response to the report, sources at the station say management had dismissed the report that Valentina was lacing her boots to walk away.
They claimed Valentina sought permission to go on work leave and they are sure she would return. It would not be the first time a presenter is quitting the EIB Group without prior information to management.
Others at the station also say they are aware of talks by some people from Accra Fm to get Valentina to switch camp but they are not certain anything has been officially confirmed.
It was big news when Valentina moved to Kasapa and reports said owners of the company gave her a brand new vehicle as part of her enticement package.
But in recent times, Valentina has been seen in town cruising in a new silver-coloured BMW- X6 which is suspected to be one of her poaching offers.
She has worked with several media houses across the country but for a while now, she has been stationed at Kasapa Fm and also hosts the popular ‘Kokooko’ television show on UTV.
Reports that Valentina had joined Kasapa broke at a time UTV had taken her show, ‘Kokooko’, off air and it fuelled speculations that UTV had sacked her.
Owners of the station were however quick to clear the air that the show was taken off air for rebranding and that she would resume as host for the new season.
Not long after, she was seen on UTV hosting the rebranded edition.
The host has a ‘love me, hate me’ personality and though has a lot of critics, manages to attract a huge audience to watch the show.
Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa has a daring attitude and speaks her mind on topical issues already in the news and sometimes picks on popular persons who find themselves in the news.
