I Never Posted A ‘Photoshoped’ Photo – Nana Aba Anamoah.
Former TV3 news anchor and presenter, Nana Aba Anamoah, has denied ever posting a ‘Photoshoped’ picture on social media.
Nana Aba was mocked a few months ago over allegations of photo theft after it emerged that pictures she allegedly posted online of her at a Manchester United game were fake.
But speaking in an interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday, the TV personality said she did no such thing.
“I never ever posted a Photoshoped photo. I don’t even know how to Photoshop.”
She said she didn’t have to Photoshop a picture from Old Trafford if she needed to prove she goes to watch matches there.
“I go to Old Trafford whenever I feel like it. I get free tickets to go watch a match.”
The station, taking the allegations seriously suspended her after days of massive public backlash against the outspoken presenter following her alleged involvement in an “online information and photo theft”.
In a statement Saturday, TV3 said: “After preliminary investigations internally, and in accordance with TV3’s own commitment to the highest level of professionalism, Management has decided to take Nana Aba Anamoah off air until further notice.
“As a broadcast network that prides itself in upholding high ethical standards and delivering credible and trustworthy content to its viewers, TV3 would like to assure viewers and other key stakeholders that it shall continue to take all necessary steps to maintain such standards.”
“We expect guardians of our brand particularly employees who we entrust to deliver content on air to our viewers, to ascribe to the company’s values whatever they are.”
The statement added: “TV3 is committed to deliver on its promise of being the First in News and Best in Entertainment”.
But Anamoah said she was “disappointed as a human being” at the decision they made.
“The disappointment is the way my employers handled it” she told Bola.
But she said she would never bear the Network any grudges as a result of what happened.
“I love TV3, I will always love TV3. TV3 gave me an opportunity no media house in Ghana would give me.”
