Maiden edition of Ghana Dance Festival launched.
The maiden edition of the Ghana Dance Festival (GDF) has been launched in Accra to celebrate the art.
The three month long festival will start from August 1 to October 31, 2015 with interesting activities for selected days on the event calendar.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CA-IM and organizer of the festival, Robert Klah said dance is a part of everyday life and must be celebrated.
“Dance is a part of our everyday life, so visible and yet uncelebrated. With the festival we wish to celebrate dance, bring together all dancers under one umbrella to address our needs career-wise, and to be able to package our craft well to earn a good living, while selling our culture to the rest of the world.
