Master Richard named me “De Perfect Gentleman” – Kwaku B

The name is Ntillam Ofori Kwaku Betasun John, but known in radioing as “Kwaku B – de perfect gentleman”, host of “The Best Drive” and “Infotainment” on Anapua105.1fm. How best he hosts his shows has attracted listeners from the nook and cranny of Ahafo, some parts of Brong and the Western region. His program, “The Best Drive” is one of the most listened to radio shows in the aforementioned areas, and “Infotainment” too stands out as one of the best among the entertainment shows in Brong Ahafo.

“Kwaku B” disclosed the secret behind his accolade “de perfect gentleman” during the E-News segment on The Best Drive show which was presented by Prez. Gee. The latter was sharing news about Master Richard with the listeners and Kwaku B took opportunity of that to explain how he came about the accolade, ‘de perfect gentleman’.

“Do you know that I got the accolade ‘de perfect gentleman’ from Master Richard? I was a fan of the erstwhile celebrated Ghana TV series, ‘TAXI DRIVER’. In one of the episodes, Aboagye, (George Quaye) while on the phone with his girlfriend, and his master (Master Richard or Mikki Osei Berko) coming to the know that it was a lady on the other end of the line, whisked the phone from the grips of the former and started flirting with the lady by saying… “I’m the perfect gentleman…3nti te m’ase wai.” That was where I said to myself, if the character, ‘Master Richard’ is describing himself as a perfect gentleman, then I merit it more. I usurped it since there was nothing perfect about his character. So that’s how I got “de perfect gentleman.”
