Members of Parliament (MPs) have decried the spate of teenage pregnancy in the country.
In a statement on the worrying trend, the MP for Tarkwa Nsuaem, Mrs. Gifty Kusi, said the advent of democracy has made it difficult for traditional rulers to enforce laws that deter teenage pregnancy for fear of infringing on people’s rights.
She has therefore advocated a comprehensive community based fight against the worrying trend.
