MUSIGA speaks: We smoked peace pipe with Fennec

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), has come out to debunk rumours about they having a hand the murder of Fennec Okyere – Business man and manager of one of Ghana’s finest rappers Kwaw Kese.

The sad incident which occured on the 13th of March has been followed up with two main speculations as part of the efforts to identify the murderer(s), one perspective holds it that, Fennec has had Land issues with some estate developers while the other section has it that, Fennec had received death threats by some individuals believed to be members of MUSIGA over the ownership of Ghana Music Week (GMW).

In response to the latter, MUSIGA in an interview with Tv3 news team termed the accusation as absurd and further stated that, they had met with Fennec during this year’s launch of MUSIGA’s GMW and finalised the issue peacefully. They (MUSIGA) then called on the general public to pay cognizance to the sensibilities of the bereaved family rather than making accusations that will devastate the family more.

It is hence everyone’s hope that the police would be able to investigate and identify the murderer(s) as soon as possible so they can face the right prosecution.
