Newmont Ahafo donates to DOVVSU in Kenyasi

The Domestic Violence Victim and Support Unit(DOVVSU) at Kenyasi the capital of Asutifi North District in the Brong Ahafo region has received office equipment from Newmont Ahafo Company worth thousands of cedis today.

The items include a laptop computer, one desktop computer and a printer and were given by the security department of Newmont Ahafo Company headed by Mr. Isaac Baaniah.

Corporal Mrs. Felicia Adeyweh, in Charge of DOVVSU, Asutifi District, who received the items on behalf of the institution thanked the department and explained that they wrote to Newmont few months back requesting for such items since DOVVSU now has new office.

She said the items will go a long way to assist the institution in terms of keeping records since currently documents can be kept on papers alone but also must be on computers.

She again added the Queen Mother of Kenyasi No.1 Traditional Council, Nana Adutwumwaa has pledged to provide adequate security for the office which has began in some few days.

Corporal Adeyweh appealed to all to come support DOVVSU since it needs a lot of things to function well and only government can do all.
