Police suspect “personal involvement” in Boateng assault
Police are looking for a suspect with a “personal involvement” in the assault of Schalke star,Kevin Prince Boateng on Christmas day.
The midfielder was attacked and thrown to the ground after visiting his ex-wife Jenny and his son Jermaine Prince in Dusseldorf .Police have interviewed his ex and neighbors and reports indicate that Boateng suspects Jenny’s current boyfriend.
Poilce spokesman, Hans -Willi Arnold speaking to Bild, confirmed the kind of suspect they were looking for.
“There is is evidence that the motivation for such an assault is from someone with a personal interest in this issue.”
Schalke have also released a statement with boss Clemens Tonnies expressing his regret at the incident.
“We regret that Prince had a bad Christmas because of these turn of events.”
Boateng and his fiancee,Melissa Satta are currently in Dubai on holiday and is expected back on January 3 to join his teammates for the second half of the season.
