
Rhoda’s inspiration for creating “Housewives & Girlfriends” stems from her desire to profile members of the African Diaspora in a positive and exciting light in the UK.

As a member of Women in Film & TV (UK), Rhoda is paving the way for women in TV production to be leaders in the media.
The drama uncovers the tangled web woven by the controversial life choices made by the main protagonists influenced by money, culture, ambition, love, passion and jealousy.
Heralded as one of the most expensive TV series filmed in the UK by Nollywood UK, Season 1’s credit roll was 62 staff members, which consisted of 53 cast and 9 crew members and included many of the most influential members of the Nollywood Diaspora based in the UK.
Whilst Season 1 was filmed in locations across the United Kingdom including London, Southampton, Portsmouth and Isle of Wight, Season 2 locations will take the audience through the hustle and bustle of city life combined with an element of tranquility in rural areas.
Season 1 series is currently on air every Friday during prime time on Africa Magic Urban Channel 153. Africa Magic Urban Channel typical audience are between the ages of 20 – 60 years making up approximately 35% of Nigeria population.
On the 30th of October Housewives & Girlfriends TV series took the top spot in the Nigerian Trends, the online monitoring profile which highlights what Nigerians’ are discussing across all social media platforms.
Rhoda Wilson is a multi-award winner and has been in the television industry for eleven years. She has established contacts in the media industry relevant to her key markets from MIPTV, Cannes to AFRICAST, Abuja Nigeria.
She has extensive experience in all areas of production from pre-development to post production.
