URC Donates to Obengkrom D/A Basic School

Universal Rehabilitation Center (URC) directed by Emmanuel Akwasi Addai has today donated teaching and learning materials to the Obengkrom D/A primary school in the Asutifi North District, Brong Ahafo region.

The items worth over thousand Cedis include exercise books, pencils and boxes of blackboard chalks.

The Director of URC, Emmanuel Akwasi Addai said it is the duty of the organisation to assist schools and school going children to get the best of materials to push education to the highest level.

He added that the authorities of the school must always engage URC for educational needs to help improve education in the district especially at the basic levels.

The Headteacher, Gyabaah Charles on behalf of the excited teachers and pupils thanked URC and assured of using the donated items usefully and as directed. He then appealed to individuals and companies to assist education in the district.

Note: This initiative was brought on as a result of discussions on the poor nature of teaching and learning at the said school last week on Anapua FM’s Morning Show hosted by Nana Adjei with Sammy Asare (News Editor) as a panelist.
