£259m Al Hilal bid for Mbappe accepted by PSG, Mbappe breaks silence
Kylian Mbappe has responded to Al Hilal’s €300million (£259million) bid after Paris Saint-Germain accepted the proposal. The Saudi Arabian outfit launched their official world record proposal on Monday afternoon and just a few hours later PSG gave the green light for the club to speak to Mbappe about a summer transfer.
Despite knowing the 24-year-old is not interested in leaving Europe, an idea has been presented that may suit all parties. Mbappe joining Al Hilal would see the Parisians get the money they are looking for with Mbappe signing a one-year contract that would see him earn £50million per month.
Only being in the Middle East for 12 months would then allow the France international to seal his dream move to Real Madrid on a free transfer. It is still currently unclear on what Mbappe’s stance now is following the lucrative proposal sent from the Saudi’s, but he has now broken his silence on the proposed move when replying to Basketball star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Amid talk of Al Hilal’s bid, the Milwaukee Bucks player posted a photo of himself on Twitter with the caption: “Al Hilal you can take me. I look like Kylian Mbappe *two laughing face emojis and eyes raised emojis.*Moments after the post went live, Mbappe replied with a quote tweet of 13 laughing face emojis.
With his time in the French capital looking over unless he signs a contract extension, there are alternative options to Mbappe than a one-year stint in Saudi Arabia. According to BBC Sport, PSG are open to letting him leave on loan with their understanding being he would run down his PSG contract playing for another club before then joining Madrid next summer.
