The newly branded Michael Essien sunglasses has been put on the market to raise funds for the Ghana midfielder’s Clean Water Project.

The sunglasses designed by Solve has already hit stores in Europe.

Funds realized from the sale of the Essien branded shades will be used to fund the Ghanaian’s Clean Water project which aims at providing portable water to deprived communities.

The Clean Water Project forms part of the initiatives employed by the Michael Essien Foundation.

The former Chelsea star wants to use his influence and advertising opportunities to rake in more funds for the clean water project.

Essien is a known lover of sunglasses, hence the decision to use one of his passions to raise money.
