Stop Seeking Unnecessary Attention – Rex Omar.
Legendary Ghanaian highlife musician, Rex Owusu Marfo known in showbiz as Rex Omar has advised colleagues to quit the unnecessary publicity stunts and focus on their careers.
Rex Omar, who described the act as a means of seeking ‘unnecessary’ attention from the public, charged colleague celebrities to rather impart the public positively by their music.
The ace musician, made these revelations on Hitz FM’s entertainment programme ‘Gallery show’ hosted by Dr Pounds.
He indicated that, some celebrities instead of promoting their brands rather engage in publicity stunts just to gain attention which in his opinion creates a negative perception about Ghanaian celebrities.
“I can say on authority that most Ghanaian showbiz personalities intentionally bring out their issues to the public just to seek more attention. In fact, it’s not a good practice at all because when that happens, you end up tarnishing your image instead of promoting your brands.
“Some of them even go to the extent of deliberately creating a rift just for the public to believe they have problems when in fact nothing is happening between them” he lamented.
The “Paapa” hit maker stressed that the unattractive nature of Ghana’s entertainment industry is based on back biting and unpatriotic attitude of some entertainment players which he believes is now time for his colleague celebrities to ‘grow up’.
