Presiding Member for Asutifi North District donates to students

The Presiding Member (PM) of Asutifi North District Assembly in the Brong Ahafo region has donated exercise books to SHS Students in four communities in the Asutifi North District.

Presenting the 1000 copies of books worth 2000.00 cedis to the students, Honourable(Hon) Ebenezer .K. Addo said the items are to boost and encourage the beneficiaries in their studies in order to build the education standards in the district.

Hon.who doubles as the Assemblyman of Gyedu added that the project of gifting books to students in the district started in the year 2014 whereby only one community, Gyedu, benefited.

He pledged to continue the project in the subsequent year while widening the scope of communities in order to ease stress from parents and wards.

Samuel Akuamoah, PTA Chairman,Obenekrom, thanked the PM for the kind gesture and assured him of students excelling with the aid of the books.He appealed to other individuals and corporate companies to come to the aid of the communities concerning education.

Some of the beneficiaries applauded the PM and said the books will go a long way to help them.

In all 20 SHS students from Gyedu,Ntotroso,Obenekrom and Womahinso each received five books.
