Black Stars cruise past Saudi Arabia
Accra, Oct. 10, GNA – The Black Stars of Ghana thumped their Saudi Arabian counterparts 3-0 in an international friendly match at the King Fahd International Stadium, Riyadh on Tuesday, in Saudi Arabia.
Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey grabbed a brace and a goal from debutant Kasim Nuhu, ensured the Black Stars emerged victors, as they prepare for their final group match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup against Egypt in November.
The encounter was keenly contested as both sides tried to establish their dominance on the game, but the Black Stars were the better side having maintained possession very well, as the Arabians plotted the counter attack system.
Defender Kasim Nuhu broke the deadlock for Ghana on the stroke of the first half, when he powered a ferocious strike past Saudi Arabian goalkeeper.
Partey scored the cushion goal for the Black Stars in the 68th minute as his shot deflected off Osama Hawsawi.
The ruthless midfielder scored his second goal of the game when he converted a superb strike to secure a resounding victory for the Black Stars in Riyadh.
