Charter House now orgarnising VGMA
Come Saturday, May 3, the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) will be the venue for the much-awaited 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), which is expected to attract a large number of stakeholders in the creative arts industry in Ghana.
VGMA is being organised by Charter House to reward deserving artistes for their hardwork, dedication and contribution to Ghana’s music industry.
With only three days to the event, the organisers said the event would bring together the best of Ghana and international artistes from Nigeria to celebrate the event with music fans.
The event is also expected to attract some of the biggest names in both Ghanaian and Nigerian music industries, but the biggest question being asked is whether the conference centre would be able to handle the enormity of this event, considering the long list of ‘giant’ artistes billed to rock the event.
The concert would witness performances by music heavy weights Guru, Sarkodie, Samini, Kwabena Kwabena, Joyce Blessing and a host of others.
Confirmed Nigerian artistes billed to thrill fans at the event include Nigeria’s biggest music sensation, Davido, Iyanya and a surprise guest artiste.
Some of the artistes tipped to win awards at this year event include Sarkodie, Joyce Blessing, Castro, Kwabena Kwabena, Shatta Wale, Guru, Sarkodie, Samini and a host of others.
With a desire to give nominees the best treatment deserving of stars on the night of the event, a series of protocol arrangements are being tabled by the organisers to make the event historic.
The 15th edition of the VGMA is being sponsored by Vodafone, Star Beer, Golden Tulip Hotel, Alisa Hotel, Africa World Airlines, KPMG and Live FM.
