Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, just like everyone else, has problems, too, and is, therefore, advising people to stop making demands on her.
The actress, born Kate Offiong Henshaw, who in July 2014 revealed her intention to run for political office, seems to be one ‘philanthropist’ many are looking up to in times of need.
She announced her political ambition on her 43rd birthday and also declared that she will run for the House of Representatives at the 2015 general elections under the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
Kate is hoping to represent the Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives in Abuja.
At Kate’s announcement to run for political office, she stated that it was her desire to serve her people if elected.
She said: “I have a strong interest and desire to serve my people and especially show that there is a better more humane way to do things when you are in a position of leadership. Putting the people first and being accountable to them as well as being accessible, I am also very keen to promote and champion the provision of clean water, good roads and sanitation in my constituency.”
“One of my key areas of project focus areas will be provision of affordable education and quality healthcare especially for expecting and young mothers,” Henshaw added.
Since her announcement, demands on the actress have more than doubled.
The award winning actress wondered, in a tweet on microblogging site, Twitter, Thursday who she would send her problems to.
“It’s amazing how pple think you have no problems of ur own. They just send you theirs with account number!!! Who will I send mine to? Hmmmm!” she said.
