President John Mahama has arrived in Copenhagen for a two-day official visit at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Denmark, Helle Thorning-Schmidt.
He said he is “feeling happier and happier by the moment” ever since he landed in the country.
“I understand that according to World Happiness Report, your country is deemed the happiest country in the world,” President Mahama told his hosts.
President Mahama joined a plenary of the ongoing 4th Global Green Growth Forum (3GF) on ‘Transforming the Food Sector’ shortly after his arrival from London. The Prime Minister held a dinner in his honour and in attendance was the Crown Prince of Denmark.
Mahama is expected to deliver the keynote address at the 3GF on the theme, ‘Facing the Consumer’ where he will share his vision for sustainable living in Ghana and the conditions required to support Ghana’s emerging middle class consumers.
Mahama will hold discussions with the Danish PM, the Crown Prince and meet with the Confederation of Danish Industry.
He will return to London at the end of the two-day visit.
