Measures put in by NDC shows it will win 2020 Elections – Former Prez Mahama
The immediate past President of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has said that the National Democratic Congress(NDC) will win the 2020 general elections as a result of the measures put in place.
He made this known during his visit to Kenyasi the capital of the Asutifi North Constituency to meet the party executives as part of his nation- wide campaign tour to canvas for votes to lead it in the 2020 elections.
He explained, the crop of executives now been elected at the constituency levels per his tour so far reveals that the party is hungry for power.
He narrated, the executives are down to earth and have a good rapport with all the grassroot members who are essential to the party. As such all will be well for the party in the upcoming elections.
Former President Mahama who has vowed to lead the party again if only given the chance, stated that there was a committee setup to tour all the 10 regions to review the causes of the party’s defeat in the 2016 elections and it has gone a long way to help the party.
He said aside this there are several strategies in place to win the elections which cannot be disclosed now to the public since the ruling party is watching the footsteps of the NDC.
He appealed to the members of the party to come out massively to vote for the NDC and also to convince others especially the floating voters to vote for the party in order to stop the level of hardship Ghanaians are all going through.
He lamented that the ruling party used lies to get to power because it is obvious that almost nothing is working as expected and told by the President and his Vice during their 2016 nationwide campaign.
” Governance is not mouth talk and bragging” He said.
His meeting with the Asutifi North Constituency delegates was held at the Nana Osei Kofi Abiri Social Centre I, Kenyasi No1 where the place was filled to capacity.
The Former President Mahama also visited the executives of Asutifi South constituency at Nkasiem where the place was also packed.
