Nicki Minaj blasts Sharon Osbourne for being a hypocrite
Nicki Minaj doesn’t take kindly to anyone putting black women down.
“I’m so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich, they’re going to leave them for a woman of a different race,” the “Super Bass” rapper, 33, fumed in Marie Claire’s November issue.
“It wasn’t funny when Kanye said [in ‘Gold Digger’], ‘When he get on, he’ll leave your ass for a white girl’ — and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now,” she pointed out. “It wasn’t funny when he said it; it was the f—ing truth.”
It wasn’t the only beef she had related to West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, either. Minaj also took Sharon Osbourne to task for criticizing her “Anaconda” cover but praising the reality star’s nude selfies on Instagram.
When the song dropped in August 2014, Osbourne said on an episode of “The Talk” that the artwork “looks like a cheap porno cover of a DVD … I love women’s bodies. I love nudity, but this is cheap.”
“When Kim Kardashian’s naked picture came out, [Osbourne] praised it, and my fans attacked her for being such a hypocrite,” the rapper continued. “So it wasn’t trashy and raunchy when a white woman did it, but it was when a black woman did it? It’s quite pathetic and sad, but that is my reality, and I’ve gotten accustomed to just shutting it down.”
