Photos: Airtel Adom Praiz 2015: Praise is war – Hezekiah Walker & LFC begin the climax.
One year of meticulous planning has been distilled into four hours of praise and worship. Few will remember any hitches. Success has many friends and Adom FM has plenty by now. It’s been a great time here at the Perez Dome. From Edwin Appiah of myjoyonline.com…. see you all next year.
The crowd stream out fast. Wonderful night it has been. But if you want a free bus home, you have to be quick.
The show has ended as sudden as applying brakes on the N1 Highway. Every Praise caps a four hour night of praise and worship.
Oh My God! Oh My God! The Perez Dome is absolutely vibrating to the most expectant gospel track – Every Praise. It is the loudest, most violent blasting of music, instruments and shouting.
‘Faithful, Faithful is our God also rendered by an unknown Ghanaian as “Efo, efo to our God.
A military top is over his white garment. Praise is war, the Bible has clearly suggested and Hezekiah Walker is taking it almost literally in his fashion choice tonight.
Hezekiah Walker walks in on the stage! A military top is over his white garment. Praise is war, the Bible has clearly suggested and Hezekiah Walker is taking it almost literally in his fashion choice tonight. The LFC is a choir of six ladies and four men – white garments.
Pastor Ato Acquah has signalled, Hezekiah Walker and his Love Fellowship Choir are set to mark the begining of the end of an energetic show.
Jesus said if we fail to worship him, he will raise up stones to do that. Believe me, nobody here wants to be replaced by a stone.
Selina Boateng is singing ‘My God who began it’ – Multimedia CEO Kwasi Twum’s favourite song. And you can understand why. His brain child is 20 years old and if you talk to him, he will confess it is an overwhelming achievement for him.
KT surely must be dancing.
Remember what I told you about babies? Yeah. Here is a beautiful bundles of joy soaking in the food – and the music too. Few people here get to mix dietary business and pleasure. The baby is doing both.
Anita Afriyie has been mising up some of her great tunes.
Title sponsor, Airtel is dashing free credit.
This guy is something else. A worship leader. He doesn’t respond to the crowd. It is the crowd that responds to him. He pays little attention to what is going on around him. He appears to have his head in heaven. ‘Yesu Ka wuhu’,
She is now stirring the audience up for a time of praises. If you are a pregnant woman in the audience. Your baby is most likely to take up a career in music. So much dancing and singing in here. No dull moment yet.
Anita Afriyie, glowing in white, is singing Juanita Bynum’s ‘You are Great’.
KODA is bowing out with his last performance ‘Nsem Pii. Things are not the same anymore, we are singing. Any doubt? Sample some churches tommorrow and play back this song.
KODA
Remember the instrumentals in that song? Yeah. We are hearing it, seeing it and soaking it in live.
The great evangelistic song ‘Yesu Y3 Nkwa Bodoo’ is the most engagng song in the last 1 hour. You would want to repent if you are here. A very old song has been given a great breath of fresh air – KODA – Thank you. It’s one great choir here
KODA is playing ‘Guide Me O Thy Great Jehovah’. Nobody needs guidance to sing this song and the audience without invitation are up on their feet. Typical KODA, typical simplicity in his dark blue African print.
Arguably the most popular male gospel artiste right now in the country, KODA with his trademark instrument, the guitar, is on stage. The welcoming shout has a VGMA award in it.
To be a complete musician, one must know how to play at least one musical instrument. KODA is a perfect definition of a complete musician.
Sensational vocal music group, Alabaster Box have finished taking us through some dancing.
The Ghanaian contingent kickstarts this year’s edition of Airtel Adom Praiz 2015. ‘Brother Sammy’ is leading the worship segment. Very familiar church songs are drawing out an unfamiliarly engaging response.
The early bird catches the ‘Hezekiah Walker practice’. The Love Fellowship Choir is rehearsing a few lines and its promising and professional. The concrete walls here echo the songs, you can feel the sound of praise under your feet.
Walls, pillars and concrete gently vibrate in strong agreement that this night is God’s night.
Of course the organisers have mounted a platform for taking pictures. You can stay there the whole night building an album of Adom Praiz 2015
The Perez Dome is 30% full. But it is only a matter of time. Great numbers need clearance from the security post to enter the Dome dominated by Red, White colours of the title sponsor.
Fathers are leading family packs into the Dome and sure enough the audience is likely to be heavy percentage of women. Women? What will God do without them. They are all over place. This is their El-Classico.
You are wecome to Airtel Adom Praiz 2015
The seating arrangement here has all the signs of a venue expected to overflow. Neat rows arch inside the Perez Dome – and sweet scent of perfume – predominately feminine – linger between the seats.
It’s gonna be a great night here today.
