Muntari to start against Egypt
In a bid to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, the Black Stars of Ghana play Egypt on October 15 [first leg in Ghana] in the final round of the qualifying stages.
Sulley Muntari who was not called up in Ghana’s last game against Zambia has been confidently tipped by deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Joseph Yamin to start the game against Egypt.
Speaking to Kumasi based SIKA FM, he said:
“I know he has been called into the team, and that is a fact. He will play against Egypt on that day. The qualities of Sulley are unquestionable and we all know that.
“I can confidently say he will even start for the Black Stars on that day. We have to support the team to beat them well so that the second leg in Egypt will be a mere formality.”
Muntari has been in fine form for AC Milan since he was ignored in the game against Zambia. The Ghanaian will be hoping to play in the Italian side’s away Champions League game against Ajax tonight.
