Namibia to host Africa’s music awards.
Africa’s cream of the crop are set to battle it out at the 2016 Kora All-Africa Music Awards, one of Africa’s most prestigious music awards, which will take center stage in Windhoek, Namibia, on Mar. 20.
Of those nominated, eight Namibian artists are set to face stiff competition from the rest African artists in their respective categories.

Those nominated from Namibia include, Gazza, Sally, Ees, D-Naff, Erna Chimu, Elize Dentlinger, VMSIX and The Dogg.
Most of the Namibian artists interviewed by local media felt happy and privileged to rub shoulders with some of Africa’s finest artists on a similar platform.
The Namibian artists in their respective categories will have to compete against African artists like AKA (South Africa), Micasa (South Africa), MzVee (Ghana), Fanicko (Benin), Dama Do Bling (Mozambique), Bebe Cool (Uganda), Suzana Lebrano (Cape Verde), The Soil (South Africa)l, Tinariwen (Mali), Jov (Cameroon) and Busiswa (South Africa).
Meanwhile, the voting process for all the nominees across Africa started on Jan.20 and is currently under way.
Those who emerge victorious in their category will take home the coveted Kora trophies and cash prizes of 20,000 U.S. dollars to 50,000 U.S. dollars. Enditem
